CLINIQUE MINI HAUL
A few days ago I went over to the Clinique counter at Macys to check out a few of their new products, and I ended up getting their new highlighter and lipstick.
This is their new highlighter! If any of you have ever used their chubby stick lip glosses or eyeshadows, this is pretty much along the same lines. It is a twist up, stick formula and you actually get quite a bit of product. The formula is pretty creamy but dries down a bit more powdery, which I prefer. There is only this one shade of highlighter to choose from, but I think it would be flattering to any skin tone. This one may end up lasting longer than the It Cosmetics highlighter I recently reviewed. I will certainly do an in depth review on this one if anyone would like me to. There is also a new sculpting contour stick for anyone who is looking for a new contour product.
This new lipstick may end up being my new favorite. The shade I got is called Bare Pop, which is a sheer, pinky, berry, nude color. There is a hint of shimmer and the formula is super creamy. There are so many great shades to choose from. This formula sort of reminds me of the butter shine lipsticks that they carry, but they are longer lasting. That must come from the “primer” part of the formula. It is meant to act as a primer and lipstick in one. I wore this last night to dinner and I was surprised at how nicely it stayed on my lips. I didn’t feel like this dried my lips out either. If you are looking for a new lipstick, I would definitely recommend this one!
It is also gift time at Clinique, and this is the gift I got. The gift bag comes with a mascara, double ended lipstick and gloss, eyeshadow and blush palette, and two moisturizers. There is another shade family you can get also.
On a side note, I made the fortuitous discovery that Macys is also currently doing their pre-sales again before the friends and family sale on the 26th. So if you have your eye on anything at Macys now would be the time to get it! I will do a pre-sale reveal when I pick up my stuff on the 26th!
I hope everyone is having a great week so far!
