It Cosmetics No-Tug Waterproof Gel Eyeliner $22

Bonjour chéris! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I went wedding dress shopping on Saturday with my sister and her lovely fiancée, then we all went to dinner at this amazing Brazilian steakhouse. I finally got the chance to try out my new eyeliner, and I really like it. First, let me say that I can never attest to an eyeliner standing up to “all day wear” claims on its own. I always use another product with my liners to help it stay in place and that would be Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Most of you should be familiar with this product but if not, it is basically the eye-shadow primer to rival all eye-shadow primers! Now I do not cake this under my eyes where I would apply my eyeliner. I just apply it to my eyelids and take the residue of it that is left on my fingers and gently rub it closely to my lash line. It just gives any liner that extra budge proofness.

Now back to the subject at hand. I applied my makeup in the morning and by 8 p.m. my eyes still looked amazing with just a tiny bit of smear in the outer corners. I hate having to reapply makeup. Powder touch ups and lip products are a given, but everything else I do not want to have to hassle with. I remember back in high school reapplying my eyeliner every 2 hours or so. I thought to myself that surely a magic marker would do a better job than this stuff. No I did not use magic marker as eyeliner, but if I had of I am sure the results would have been similar to the staying power of this less hazardous alternative. The only gripe I would say I have with this liner is that it does not sharpen to a fine point very easily. It does come with a sharpening attachment at the end, but you have to be careful not to apply too much pressure otherwise it will break off. Since it is a gel formulation it is going to be softer. I would not say this is my HG eyeliner, but it is a great one until I find that perfect one!
